SEWING FOR BEGINNERS Learn to sew! In this class, participants will learn how to properly measure, read and use patterns, cut out materials and make your own pair of pull on pants. Not sure how to use your machine? This class will also give participants the opportunity to learn more about their machines, including how to thread and understand proper motions. At the end of class participants will have the option to make a matching top or night gown. Please note: all participants must provide their own supplies, patterns, and sewing machine. Participant’s sewing machines should be in good working order and have the user manual. Supply list will be emailed to participants prior to the start of class or can be picked up at the Recreation Center. This class is a continuation of our Beginners Sewing class. New participants are welcome but should be familiar with measuring, reading and using patterns, and properly cutting out materials. In this class, participants will learn how to properly add a zipper and interfacing to a pair of bottoms. Please note: all participants must provide their own supplies and sewing machine.
