DHC-6 RE-LIFE ® WING BOX ™ WITH LONGER LIFE LIMITS

APPLICABILITY De Havilland DHC-6-100/-200/-300 Twin Otter Airplanes DESCRIPTION The AEVEX DHC-6 Re-Life ® Wing Box ™ is a De Havilland approved re-manufactured wing box which has replaced old fatigue critical components (i.e. wing attachment, lower skins, stringers, spar caps, hinge arms, etc.) with new components. The result is a “zero-timed” wing box with a new data plate and new life limits. The DHC-6 Re-Life ® Wing Box ™ has identical inspection and maintenance requirements as a new DHC-6 wing box. Installation on the aircraft is accomplished in accordance with DHC Service Bulletin No. 6/362 as an alternative to Modification No. 6/1630. MAINTENANCE/INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS Same as De Havilland PSM 1-6-2, PSM 1-63-2, PSM 1-6-5, PSM 1-6-7, and PSM1-6-11 with the following intervals: Series -100, -200: • Up to 49,000 Hours/98,000 Cycles – same as De Havilland intervals Series -300: • Up to 33,000 Hours/66,000 Cycles – same as De Havilland intervals using Drawing WR6-1000-ICA • After 33,000 Hours/66,000 Cycles – visual inspections each 1,500 hours/3,000 cycles/12 months using Drawing WR6-1000-ICA/LE

DHC-6 RE-LIFE ® WING BOX ™ “BUILT UP” OPTIONS

The DHC-6 RE-LIFE ® WING BOX ™ is a De Havilland approved direct replacement wing box as defined in the De Havilland Structural Life Limits Manual, PSM 1-6-11, page 1, paragraph 2 with further information contained in De Havilland Service Bulletin No. 6/362. Accordingly, the basic DHC-6 RE-LIFE ® WING BOX ™ is provided without nacelle, fiberglass wing tip, flight controls, etc. as explained the De Havilland Service Bulletin No. 6/362.

AEVEX Aircraft Services is pleased to offer our customers a “built-up” DHC-6 RE-LIFE ® WING BOX™. To minimize aircraft downtime when replacing timed-out wing boxes we offer the following: • DHC-6 Re-Life ® Nacelles ™ , installed, exchange • Wing wire harness, new, installed • Paint, DuPont Imron AF400, Standard Matterhorn White/Black or custom configuration • Long Range Wing Tip Tank (ref S.O.O. 6095) structural provisions and wing box plumbing, installed • De-Ice Boots, installed (ref. S.O.O. 1579) (non Tip Tank wing boxes only, unless Tip Tanks are provided) • Additional provisions for a second flux valve

The primary advantage with the “built-up” wing box is that the down time required for the wing box change is reduced from four (4) to six (6) weeks to approximately one (1) to (2) weeks.
