Bartholomews bird food xmas card

Welcome to our Christmas Bird Food Newsletter I hope this card finds you safe and well. We have all experienced difficulties and uncertainty in 2020 but it is important to acknowledge that with joint cooperation and understanding, we have managed to overcome any hurdles that we have faced and kept the nation’s birds fed. Covid 19 has affected the UK and the world in many ways but believe it or not there has been a benefit. It has helped many different wildlife species. The amount of people feeding the wild birds in Lockdown has helped Wild Birds Thrive. We now approach 2021 with a positive mindset and look forward to working closely with you again. Wild Birds After a very mild autumn we are now into winter season. This mild weather has been a blessing so far, but with the frosts starting and without our help many birds including small young ones will struggle to survive. They need shelter, fresh water and REGULAR supplies of nutritious foods specifically designed to meet their needs. This time of year, we would recommend using good quality high energy mixes; this will ensure the birds are getting what they need, whilst also keeping wastage to a minimum. Colonels Premium, Supreme and Robin and Songbird are perfect for this and we would suggest complimenting these with sunflower hearts or Peanuts. Pigeon Corn The pigeon breeding season is nearly upon us and by the end of December fanciers will be looking to stock up on corn, so make sure you place your orders early and get stocked up on Gem Breeding, Breeding Plus and Premier. Cowood is also very popular this time of year.
