Congratulations on your admission to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University! We are excited to welcome you to this learning community. To guide you through the next steps, we’ve compiled a list of resources to help you stay on track. This comprehensive guide covers everything there is to know — we encourage you to customize your experience and review the content that’s applicable to you!
Be sure to familiarize yourself with Embry-Riddle’s Academic Catalog. The catalog is an important tool and will assist you with planning your academic future. Visit the catalog for a comprehensive guide to degree requirements, program and course descriptions, transfer credit information, grading policies and much more. All degree requirements must be completed within seven years from the date of initial course enrollment. Undergraduate students are expected to successfully complete 18 credit hours per year and must earn a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) to graduate. Graduate students are expected to successfully complete 15 credit hours per year and must earn a minimum 3.0 CGPA to graduate.
Orientation covers topics such as the course catalog, tips for success, a guide to Worldwide terms and phrases, the Hunt Library, technology tools, resources, student rights and responsibilities, discounts and EagleCard. Go to ERNIE > Tools > Canvas > Enter the Orientation Course from your dashboard
Apply for Your EagleCard Your EagleCard is your Embry-Riddle identification card and gives you access to student discounts.

We understand the importance of funding your education and want you to know that you have options. If you intend to use federal financial aid, we encourage you to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure to report Embry-Riddle’s six-digit school code (001479) to ensure we receive your application.
Take Skills Assessments New and returning undergraduate students without applicable prior credit may be required to take the English and Math skills assessments prior to enrolling in specific courses. You can access these in ERNIE. Go to ERNIE > Services > Take Skills Assessment Connect With Your Academic Advisor As a new student, you’ll be assigned a dedicated academic advisor to assist you through every step of your degree program. Advisors are your main point of contact with the university and provide support by helping you develop a personalized degree plan, register for classes, understand degree requirements and explore funding options. Through this personalized experience, you will create a partnership with your advisor that extends beyond course registration. Go to ERNIE > Campus Solutions > Academic Advising Tile
Set Up Your ERNIE Account ernie.erau.edu
Go to ernie.erau.edu to activate your account. Once your account is established, you will have access to your @my.erau.edu email, Campus Solutions homepage, course schedules, skills assessments and more. The university uses this account to send official notifications. You’ll also want to use your Embry-Riddle email to contact your advisor or other university staff to ensure you’re using a secure and effective form of communication. Be sure to check your Embry-Riddle email frequently by clicking the email icon in ERNIE.
