thing—-but do not let, the supernatural go out of your life. ; Still believe, in the God of creation; ; and still believe in Christ as God,- possessing power over all.things,; and still believe in the glorious destinies, that are entombed in the future, awaiting, the resurrection voice of.-the Son of God,,when He comes in His glory for ,Bis people. , But then thirdly, there is the coming to gether. You know Jesus said one day, “Two men shall be plowing in a field. One shall hear a call, and go ; the other shall keep on plowing, wondering where his brother has gone. And two women shall be crouched, grinding at the mill, and suddenly one shall look, and she has lost her-neigh bor.” Caught up to meet the Lord In the air! I have wished with a deep wish,that I might be among those who afe:alive when He comes. And yet I would not determine it for myself, but would leave it where I have left everything else—with Him. But just think of it. There-are going to : be people on the earth, alive, when the shout'is heard; and He comes, and the graves of the dead open, and the bodies come forth shin ing as the sun in its strength,«and are. fe- united with the glorified spirits; and then those who are waiting for the Lord’s ap pearing, by a spiritual attraction that makes like attract like,. shall ascend to meet the Lord in the air.. Ah, -this is wonderful, wonderful! THOSE WHO REMAIN The Apostle says: “We who are alive and remain.” That is a favorite word with Paul, that word “Remain.” “We who re main.” I have heard him say in 1 Corin thians 15': “Afterward He was seen of over five hundred brethren át once, of whom the greater part remain but some are fallen asleep.” And let it never be forgotten’that Jesus Christ changes death into a falling asleep. “We who are alive and remain";’-’ living in tents, because we know we have no habitation down here; scrip in hand, because we know We are pilgrims; holding'the world lightly, because we know we are not'ofThe world at all. “We Who are alive and Ye-
have borne the image of the earthy, of the first Adam, shall also bear the image of the heavenly, the second Adam. -Then as we are now in the likeness of Adam doomed, so shall we then in the likeness ,of Jesus be glorified. And let me say, we shall have bodies in that day like- Christ’s body. A WONDERFUL BODY O that was a wonderful body in which He came out of the borrowed tomb! Earth ly conditions had no power over that spirit ual body of Jesus. Doors were shut, but He stood there without unlocking the door. And it was a tangible body, for He said, “Touch me, for I am not a spirit.” A spirit is not flesh and bones. And for their re assurance, He ate in their presence. - And yet it- was a body which by its own volition ascended majestically up to the right hand of God. You know we have a sentence in our Bible that says, “He shall change our vile body” ; but that ought to read, “He shall change the body of our humiliation,” for it is not a vile body. But it is a body of hu miliation. It is a body humiliated by sin; humiliated by the world; humiliated by the devil; but He shall change the body of our humiliation and fashion it like unto His Own glorious body," by the -power which He works in us. O it is incredible, it is in credible unless you have faith! They are dead, and there is the end of them. Cer tainly. If I did not have faith in Christ I should say so. And the heavens remain forever and ever! Surely I should say so, if:I did not have faith in Christ. And such a destiny for mej so glorious and everlast ing, can' never be. Yea, I should deny it, if I had hot faith in Jesus. But what can you understand without faith ? You can speculate about the origin of all things; but bear in mind the Apdstle says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were made.” We cannot understand even that without faith. O do not let the superna tural die out of your life, my friends. Lose all your money; lose all your possessions; lose your health; your friends; lose any
