from the Receiving Hospital to talk with a man who in a jealous frenzy had shot his sweetheart and then turned the gun upon his own breast with fatal result. To kneel there with that deadful stupor confronting you, crying out the life-giving message into dull ears, with no consciousness that even one word penetrated the mind or heart. Should not such an experience constrain you to lose none of the precious opportuni­ ties still left to impress upon conscious souls that “neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved-.” ' In- the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thy .hand, for thou knowest not whether shall prosper either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. the inside service which follows the street meeting. God has brought conviction and an evi­ dence of salvation to eleven men during the month. Some have found work and are making good. We are feeding from twenty-five to thirty men each night. The woodyard is carrying this expense. We need $130 a month to provide for this Mission’s work for men. Perhaps you would like to help. In the last six months 8782 men have at­ tended the inside meetings; 196 have pro­ fessed conversion, and thousands of men have heard the Gospel on the street. May God help us to do our full work. If you cannot give, you can pray. Perhaps you can do both.

His love, not mine, the resting place, His blood, not miné, the tie.” Did you ever stand-by the bedside of a soul whom you knew was slipping into eternity^one whom the doctors had given up and left, knowing they could do no more —with the end but a few short hours away, and yoh alone had in your possession the only means God has provided to save lost souls, and yet found yourself unablé to com­ municate it to them? If you have, then you know something of what the writer went through when the hurry call came T 4TORK at Yokefellows’ Hall for the * * summer months has certainly been unusual—good audiences in the Hall, and the street meetings have been a real bene­ diction. The great number of men wh6 have been meeting at Broadway and Eighth Street nightly have been crowded out by the city ordinance, and are now between Main and Los Angeles Streets. This gives Yokefellows’ a new problem to solve. We are now holding our street meeting in front of our hall, No. 126 East Eighth Street. The:use of a blackboard, good horse-sense, and a message from the blessed Book, gives us nightly from 100 to 200 men who are good listeners and show every respect. This is also greatly increasing the attendance at
