Bob had worked as a field agent for the USDA for 35 years before working as an agricultural loan ana - lyst for Southern Missouri Bank until fully retiring in 2016. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict stationed in Vilseck, West Germany. Bob was a member of the Marshfield United Methodist Church where he
Farming was not only Ed’s occupation but his lifelong passion. He dedicated long days to his crops and livestock. He raised nationally-recognized, purebred Hampshire sheep, showing and selling across the US. Beyond the farm, Ed loved sports and competition, but nothing rivaled love for his family. He enjoyed sharing stories when they all gathered under one roof at his farm. He will be remembered as a man of hard work, grit, strong will, and unwavering love for his family. served as an Elder, served the Marshfield School and Webster County boards and was an Assistant Sheep Superintendent at the Missouri State Fair. He also was a member of the American Shropshire Sheep Association where he served as President and on the Board of Directors during a pivotal time in that organization Mindy Reid _____________________ Portion from Obituary: Mindy had a passion for any and all animals. She loved the farm life and devoted much of her time to raising and showing her Lincoln Sheep. She will live on through her examples and her life’s lessons, such as courage in the face of adversity and fierce deter - mination, yet with the gentle spirit that defined her. David dedicated his life to farming alongside his par - ents, nurturing a deep love for the land. He was an active member of the Lee County Farm Bureau and a long-standing board member. David was passion- ate about encouraging youth to engage in agricul- ture through activities and scholarships. As a lifelong

Then, over the last forty years McGuire Sheep Farms was noted for having one of the premier Cheviot and Southdown flocks in the United States, also raising and showing flocks of Hampshires, Suffolks and Oxfords along the way. Larry’s investment in the breed and youth programs contributed to the rapid growth of the Southdown breed to one of the preeminent purebred sheep breeds in the United States. He was a generous Southdown Junior show and futurity sponsor, and he was recently recognized by the American South- down Association with the Spirit of the Breed award.
Dave farmed and was a Professional Sheep Shearer. He also worked at Slayton Discount Liquor (only for the conversation). Dave retired in 2017. Through - out Dave’s life he loved any fair that included a Sheep Show where his children or grandchildren could show off his flock. Dave loved to visit and share a good story or two with family, friends, or a new friend that he just met. Dave passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Murray County Medical Center in Slayton at the age of 70.

MIDWEST SALE BUYER INFORMATION LOCATION: Missouri State Fairgrounds, Sedalia, MO located on US 65 and US 50, 18 miles south of Interstate 70. The fairgrounds is bounded on the east by US 65 (Limit Ave); on the north by 16th St; and on the west by Clarendon Rd. North of 16th St, Clarendon Rd is called Thomp - son Blvd. For UPS or Fed-Ex purposes only, the physical address of the fairgrounds is 2503 W 16th St, Sedalia, MO 65301. Sheep will be penned, shown and sold in both the Sheep Barn and Swine Pavilion with easy access from Clarendon Rd.

HAULING OR DELIVERY: Standard hauling and delivery services of ani - mals purchased in the sale can be made to most anywhere in the coun - try. Each hauler will set their own fee with the animal purchaser. Sale management can assist in this regard if contacted in a timely manner. HEALTH PAPERS ON PURCHASES: All animals consigned to the Midwest Sale must be accompanied by official health certificates. After the sale, buy - ers can obtain health papers on their purchases by coming to the sale check- out area in the FFA building which is located between the Swine and Sheep Barns. Due to cost for electronic health papers, each out-of-state buyer will be charged a $5.00 fee at checkout for health paper filing (per buyer, not per animal). At check-out, buyers also receive a list of purchases. Buyers then take the list to the Veterinarians (located in the same room) to receive health papers on their purchases. It is very important that all buyers obtain health papers on their purchases as your respective State Veterinarians receive the sale information. SALE GUARANTEE: EXCEPT FOR THOSE STATED IN THE BELOW GUAR - ANTEE, THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FROM A PARTICULAR PUR - POSE WITH RESPECT TO THE ANIMALS BEING SOLD IN THIS SALE. The warranties and guarantees set forth in the below guarantee are in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied and the rem - edies provided therein shall be the sole and exclusive remedy of the buy - er, or any party claiming throught the buyer, for any breach of warranty or guarantee therein, and all other obligations or liabilities. 1) Every animal sold will be guaranteed as a breeder if properly handled. It shall be the responsibility of the buyer to return a non-breeder to the seller in acceptable breeding condition. The seller, after a fair trial and the animal is found to be a non-breeder, shall have the privilege of replacing the animal with one of equal value to the satisfaction of the buyer and seller, or refunding the purchase price. This guarantee shall not apply to any animals that are shown subsequent to the date of the sale, for the year shown. 2) Notification of non-breeder males must be made to the seller prior to January 1st following the sale. Notification of non-breeder females must be made to the seller prior to April 1st following the sale. 3) Neither the sale managers nor the sponsoring organization can or will assume any responsibility as to the authenticity of the pedigrees or bloodline information provided in the sale catalog, on pen cards, or otherwise, and the subsequent genetic performance of any animals pur - chased. All such information must be accepted at face value. Any special guarantees or claims offered by individual consignors is strictly between the consignor and buyer, and will not be enforced by the sale manage - ment or the sponsoring organization 4) This guarantee shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller only, and no other parties, including but not limited to breed as - sociations, Midwest Sale Committee, or Heartland Livestock Services, assume any liability, legal or otherwise, expressed or implied. 5) Sellers failing to comply with the provisions of the sale Guarantee or with specific breed rules may be subject to being barred from registering, transferring or selling sheep in breed sanctioned sales for a specific period of time or until the matter is resolved.

Every attempt will be made to get messages to consignors and buyers. SHOW AND SALE TIMES: The first show or sale each day will have a designated start time. Breeds will sell in the order listed on that day’s schedule with only a 5 minute break between breeds. Typically, it takes approximately one minute to sell each lot. ONLINE VIEWING OF SHOWS & SALES: All shows and sales will be live streamed on DVAuction.com- You will need to set up an account on the site to view the live stream. You can also register to purchase animals during the sales. REGISTRATION PAPERS: All sheep in classes requiring registration pa - pers will be transferred to purchasers at consignor’s expense, except for Babydoll Southdowns. Their papers will be given to buyers to transfer at buyer expence to the registry of choice. Breeds not requiring regis - tration papers are: Crossbred, Natural Colored, & Speckle-faced Wether Sires & Dams and Club Lambs. TERMS: Animals purchased must be paid for by Cash, check, or secured by credit card payment on Sale Day. A convenience fee will be charged for credit card payment. Non-US buyers must pay in US funds. A 10% surcharge will be assessed to any insufficient funds checks issued. The auctioneer’s decision will be final on any dispute as to bids. Substitute entries will be designated with a bar under the lot numbers. All animals are at purchasers risk as soon as sold. SALE CREDITS: All sale credits must be documented on official Midwest Sale Credit form with signature of party providing credit and buyer. Form must be presented at time of buyer checkout. MAIL BIDS: Those buyers unable to attend the sale who wish to buy sheep by “mail bid” or “phone bid” may do so by contacting the person of their choice associated with the sale. Among those able to assist in this regard are ringmen, auctioneers, consignors, and some Midwest Sale staff (see staff pages and listings for phone numbers). Please con - tact them in advance of the sale, or early enough during the sale that they can assist with your bid in a timely manner.
ATTENTION BUYERS: SPECIAL HEALTH PERMIT REQUIREMENTS & EXPORT INFORMATION US BUYERS: Your local or state veterinarian should be able to update you concerning any special regulations concerning the health requirements for animals entering your state. The sale veterinarian will prepare standard, interstate health papers for transportation between states, but it is the buyer’s responsibility to be cognizant of and adhere to the entrance requirements for his own state. While entry permits can be obtained from you state office from while in Sedalia, this can often be done prior to your arrival at the sale. CANADIAN BUYERS: Please contact a federal veterinarian for a detailed list of requirements for importation of sheep into Canada. You will need to be familiar with the health requirements for entry of animals purchased through public auction. Canadian buyers will have to make arrangements to have any animals purchased tested for Blue Tongue and Brucella Ovis. Cost for federal health papers, any tests beyond the normal sale tests and shipping ar- rangements will be at the buyers expense. Sale management can provide assistance with these test and shipping arrangements. MEXICAN BUYERS: Please contact a federal veterinarian for a detailed list of requirements for importation of sheep into Mexico. You will need to be familiar with the health requirements for entry of animals purchased through public auction.
