Nursing Education Programs - FAILED (AARP Supported) House Bill 919, by Representative Overdorf (companion Senate Bill 526, by Senator Harrell). Legislation would have amended 464.019, Florida Statutes. The legislation would have improved nursing education oversight by establishing new requirements for nursing education programs to be approved by the Board of Nursing. It would have included the adoption of standardized evaluation and admission criteria, a comprehensive exit exam and a remediation program.
