Senate Votes on SB 1010 & HB 909
Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact - FAILED (AARP Supported) House Bill 909, by Representative Anderson (companion Senate Bill 1010, by Senator Calatayud, never had a hearing). The legislation would have created new section 468.226 and amended sections 456, 468, 768, Florida Statutes. The legislation would have authorized Florida to join the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact, allowing Florida licensed occupational therapists to apply for a “compact privilege” for interstate practice via telehealth and in person. Likewise, licensed occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants in other compact member states would have been able to offer services to Florida patients.
