My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program - PASSED (AARP Supported) House Bill 393, by Representatives V. Lopez & Hunschofsky (companion Senate Bill 592, by Senator Leek). Approved by Governor; Chapter No. 2025-173 effective upon becoming law. The legislation refines condominium regulations and eligibility for hurricane mitigation grants. It prevents condominium associations from requesting an inspection or grant through the My Safe Florida Condominium Pilot Program unless they have met the necessary milestone inspection and structural integrity reserve requirements. It excludes detached units on individual parcels from the definition of ‘condominium’ and limits program participation to structures or buildings three stories or higher. It simplifies grant approvals, removes funding limits and ensures improvements qualify for insurance discounts.
