BUNGA RAYA ENERGY TOWER
Presented by
Visualization for proposal purposes only
The choice of the hibiscus to be incorporated into Energy Tower, designed explicitly for Westport, is to carry the meaning of the flowers themselves, which holds several significant cultural, historical, and symbolic meanings: Cultural Significance: The hibiscus has deep cultural roots in Malaysia. It is a common sight in Malaysian gardens and is a popular ornamental plant. Its vibrant and colorful flowers are often associated with the country's rich cultural diversity. Symbol of Unity: Malaysia is a multicultural and multi-ethnic nation with a diverse population comprising Malays, Chinese, Indians, and indigenous groups, among others. The hibiscus, with its wide range of colorful variations, symbolizes unity and diversity, reflecting the harmonious coexistence of different ethnic groups in the country. Historical Connection: The hibiscus was officially declared Malaysia's national flower on July 28, 1960, by Malaysia's first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman. The decision was made due to the flower's natural beauty and ability to thrive in Malaysia's tropical climate. National Identity: The hibiscus represents Malaysia's identity and natural beauty. Its vibrant and colorful petals symbolize the nation's vitality and Malaysia's tropical paradise. Environmental Significance: As a native plant that thrives in Malaysia's tropical climate, the hibiscus is a reminder of the nation's natural beauty and ecological diversity.
RATIONALE ~ BUNGA RAYA
In summary, the hibiscus symbolizes unity, beauty, cultural identity, and the rich natural heritage of Malaysia. It is significant to choose the flower to be incorporated into Westport’s identity, reflecting the company's diversity and success.
SYSTEM COMPOSITION Bunga Raya Energy Tower will combine various energy production systems to ensure that energy generation is sufficient to power the dedicated equipment.
Flower tentacles – Vertical Axis Wind Turbine
Petals – Solar tracker with solar PV
Tower pole – Compressed Air Buoyancy System
The self-powered system can produce 30 kWh or more in strong winds.
COMPRESSED AIR BUOYANCY SYSTEM
A buoyancy energy production system is a type of renewable energy technology that harnesses the power of buoyancy or the upward force exerted by fluids, such as water or air, on objects submerged in them. This concept is primarily applied in underwater or submerged systems and is often used with other renewable energy sources. The Compressed Air Buoyancy System will hold as the pole for the Bunga Raya Energy Tower and complement the Vertical Axis Wind Turbine and the Solar Tracker, perfecting its ability to cater to any energy production requirement.
VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINE
A minimal footprint while maintaining high kW output results in a favorable size-to-power ratio. Renewable resources such as wind power offer several advantages in generating free energy for electricity supply. A vertical axis wind turbine will make the flower tentacle, and with the high position, it will harness the wind energy efficiently.
DUAL-AXIS GPS ASSISTEDSOLAR TRACKER Each flower petal will be decorated with PV solar panels equipped with our solar tracker system that will enhance the efficiency of the solar panel. Solar tracker systems were designed to follow the sun’s movement, thus prolonging panel absorption of the sun's rays, resulting in bigger energy generation. Each petal will have its solar tracker system.
ELQUATOR’s SOLAR TRACKER is a device programmed to move the Photovoltaic panels so that they continuously face the sun to maximize the irradiation received by the Photovoltaic panels array. This will increase and maximize irradiation absorption up to two times more than fixed- position Photovoltaic panels that only receive a maximum of 4 hours of direct sunlight. Built-in Real Time Clock and GPS-assisted tracking algorithm helps track the sun’s trajectory at any specific time and location. The dual-axis system, with its flexibility, ensures that the Photovoltaic panels face the sun directly Throughout the day, for maximized irradiation absorption. The Solar Tracker can be monitored and controlled remotely by mobile devices connected via a built-in Wi-Fi module. HOW DUAL-AXIS GPS-ASSISTED SOLAR TRACKER FUNCTION
