Y12 Bulletin 19.04.24

A MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF YEAR 12

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful break and are enjoying the longer days and slightly warmer weather.

This week sees the beginning of the two week mock exam period for Year 12s. We wish them lots of luck and success during this period as they experience A-Level examinations in a formal setting for the first time. I would like to take this opportunity to remind students that although we want them to be well prepared for these exams they should also prioritise their well-being. Please encourage your child to speak to myself or a member of staff if they have any concerns at this time. On Tuesday the whole of Year 12 travelled by coach to Farnborough to visit a UCAS Exhibition. This was a great opportunity for students to hear from current students at all the major universities and also some they may never have heard of. Students were able to pick up prospectuses to support the decision making process around their post-18 options.

Further support will be given to students in the Enrichment and Progression Week scheduled for the 29th April. Further details of this will be in next week’s bulletin.
