The longest distance from the converter to the strips will be given by the section of the cable to be used. The 2V volta- ge drop in the conductor between the strip(s) and the con- verter should not be exceeded. The section (S) in mm2 of the required cable is determined by the following formu- la, they are : "r" the resistivity (Cu = 0,017) "L" Line length in meters "I" Intensity in amps "V" the maximum allowable voltage drop The converters must consider the losses in the distribution, it is advisable to oversize their power by 20% to cover the- se losses.
