La Loterie d’Albertine Cette année, la mascotte du Festival, Albertine, sera présente samedi et dimanche, en chair et en os, sur le site du Festival. Tous sont invités à laisser leur « trace » dans la case qui pourrait faire remporter une belle somme d’argent! Une partie des fonds récoltés sera versée à la garderie coopérative de Saint- Albert tandis que l’autre moitié sera remise à l’heureux gagnant de la loterie. Les billets sont disponibles en ligne ainsi qu’à la porte, ou à la Fromagerie St-Albert, le Marché St-Albert et les Caisses populaires. Pour de plus amples renseignements concer- nant la programmation, les détails de toutes les activités ainsi que le service gratuit de navette, il faut consulter www.festivaldelacurd.ca. C’est un rendez-vous à ne pas manquer !

De plus, des spectacles musicaux et de magie seront présentés, notamment avec Atchoum, Bill Bestiole le samedi, ainsi que Yoopacadabra, Kattam et ses Tam-Tams le dimanche. Le dimanche 20 août, une célébration eucharistique aura lieu à 9 h sous le Grand Chapiteau et le spectacle final sera assuré par les Chiclettes, trois femmes fières, qui vien- dront dévoiler leur deuxième album, Voyage à trois.
There are four tonnes of the freshest, best tasting curds in the world free for the asking for hungry visitors at the 24th Annual St-Albert Curd Festival. And that’s just part of the all the fun in store from Aug. 16 to 20. Start off your festival visit the first day by grab- bing a plate at the community barbecue, then go sit down for a round or two of Bingo, because you never know how your luck will bless you, then enjoy watching a few of the matches in the weekend-long beach volleyball tournament. Then the following day, be ready to split your sides laughing during humourist Stéphane Rousseau’s “Little Princess” production, along with the wackiness of the LOL comedy troupe and satirist Yannick De Martino’s social commentary. They’ve Got Talent takes to the stage Aug. 18 and the audience is welcome to help judge which vocalist wins the prize money. The following day it’s the Curds and Country spectacular featur- ing the musical talents of Mélissa Ouimet, Daniel Boucher, and others. All through the five days of the festival, visitors will enjoy such entertainment as ATV aerobat- ics, pony rides, chainsaw sculpting, giant bouncy castle games for children, and a mechanical bull ride for the daring adults. Magicians Atchoum, Yoopacadabra, and others will entertain and amaze. Check out the Market of Flavours and all the local produce and beverages. And a visit to the Curd Festival would not be complete without taking part in the Albertine Loto. Festival mascot, Albertine, will be present on Saturday and Sunday to offer everyone a chance to take a chance and win a prize.
