After a brief company history, Frisch invited the second generation of Wasatch Con- tainer, Lauren and Ryan Frisch, to give an overview of some of the company’s specialties. Frisch then walked participants onto the floor of their original building, a 30,000-square-foot facility built in 1995, which houses its mini flexo folder gluer, a 50-inch flexo, several rotary die-cutters, unitizers, and several other machines in their compact space. The tour then moved onto the design department, sharing their 2-D and 3-D rendering capabilities and their new, high-speed CAD cutting table. After a visit to Wasatch’s ink kitchen, and spending time at each ma- chine, the tour moved to the other buildings that house their crate and foam divisions. In the foam space, Frisch showed how they do die-less die cutting and how their waterjet die cutter works and other foam fabrication. AICC’s upcoming virtual tours include The BoxMak- er in Kent, Washington, on Wednesday, February 17, and Utah PaperBox in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Tuesday, March 9.
