The Secret of Your Success
I read somewhere “You can’t talk your way out of a situation that you behaved your way into.” I have used this quote a number of times counseling with friends, family, coworkers, and myself. It tells me that if you have messed up and want people to forgive you, then apologize and ask for forgiveness. If you want those same people to trust and believe in you again, then you must take another step and refrain from the poor behavior that got you into trouble. Over time you will win back people’s trust through your actions.
