A MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF YEAR 13
The Year 13 students have now returned to school for the last few weeks before their public exams commence. They all spent a significant amount of time over the Easter holidays preparing for their exams.
Before the Easter break, students were involved in a number of events, including a Psychology talk and a CV workshop. I am certain that the attendees enjoyed the talk and that they found the CV workshop particularly helpful. Also, on the penultimate day of the spring term, parents and carers met with their children’s teachers as part of the annual Parents’ Consultation Meeting. This was an opportunity for parents and carers to gather feedback about how their child is progressing, as well as what their children can do in order to further improve. If any parents and carers didn’t get the chance to meet with the relevant teachers, then you will need to send an email to sixthform@waldegravesch.org and request that the relevant teachers reach out to them. Next Wednesday, the parents and carers of all Year 13 students have been invited to attend an exam stress workshop. This event will run in person between 18:30-19:30. All the relevant details have already been shared. This will be a very useful event, which will allow parents and carers to effectively support their children during this rather stressful period for them.
On Friday next week, the Photography and some of the Textiles students will be taken off timetable as part of their preparatory day for their exams for these two courses.
