Via Abramo Lincoln is a haven of peace steps away from the hubbub of bustling Corso XXII Marzo . Built in the ‘80s to house workers from the nearby Porta Vittoria area, this delightful spot has a village-like feel, with pedestrianised cobbled lanes and lovely pastel coloured buildings adorned with flowers.

PINK FLAMINGOS - VILLA INVERNIZZI

Built on the site of the city’s ancient Roman Forum, the Crypt of San Sepolcro is the oldest underground church in Milan. Originally built in 1030 as a private chapel dedicated to the Order of the Holy Sepulchre , the crypt was erected where the Decumanus and the Cardo met, as depicted in one of Leonardo da Vinci’s maps in the Codex Atlanticus . Reopened to the public after fifty years, the church has ancient Roman floors and is adorned with frescoes from the 14 th century.

Dating back to the 13 th century, the Sanctuary of San Bernardino alle Ossa is famous for its macabre ossuary, a small chapel covered in human bones and skulls. The bones were brought here from two nearby hospitals, and were used to decorate the pillars, doors and niches.
