notified Goffs within 60 minutes of purchase that a re-examination is required. If the Broodmare is found not to be as certified, the sale may be cancelled at the discretion of the Purchaser provided notice of cancellation is made by the Purchaser to Goffs no later than 1 hour after the Purchaser was notified by Goffs of The Panel’s decision. The Purchaser shall in all cases be liable for the re-examination fee. dated not earlier than 14 days prior to the Sale which must be lodged in the Sales’ Office prior to the sale, and which will be read out by Goffs at the time of Sale. Fillies or broodmares which are not in foal and which are offered for sale as Breeding Stock must be offered with a Breeding Certificate, except for two-year- old fillies, or broodmares that have foaled since the publication of the Catalogue and prior to the sale, where no warranty as to their suitability for breeding is given or implied. Where a Broodmare or Filly is sold with a Breeding Certificate, the Purchaser may request to have her re-examined, for suitability for breeding purposes only, by The Panel by instructing Goffs to do so immediately after purchase of the Lot by signing to this effect on the Acknowledgement of Purchase Form. Alternatively, the Purchaser may request to have the Lot re-examined, for suitability for breeding purposes

Veterinary Certificate(s), the Sale may be cancelled at the discretion of the Purchaser, provided notice of cancellation is made by the Purchaser to Goffs no later than 24 hours after the Purchaser’s Veterinary Surgeon has completed his examination of the Lot. If so requested by the Vendor, Goffs may have the Lot examined by The Panel and where the opinion of The Panel does not agree with the opinion of the Purchaser’s Veterinary Surgeon as expressed in his certificate furnished, then the opinion of The Panel shall prevail and shall be final and binding on the parties. (vii) the fees for all the Veterinary Examinations shall be borne by the Purchaser. (e) W ith a Pregnancy Certificate dated not earlier than 14 days prior to the Sale which must be lodged in the Sales’ Office by the Vendor prior to the Sale, and which will be read out by Goffs at the time of Sale. Where a Broodmare is sold with a Veterinary Certificate of Pregnancy, the Purchaser may request to have her re-examined for pregnancy by The Panel by instructing Goffs to do so immediately after purchase of the Lot by signing to this effect on the Acknowledgement of Purchase Form. Alternatively, the Purchaser may request to have the Lot re-examined, for pregnancy, by The Panel provided the Purchaser has

(ii) T he examination will not include any radiological or other specialized techniques. (iii) It will not be concerned with the accuracy of any other statement concerning any particular Lot whether contained in the catalogue or in any veterinary certificate, (iv) T he Panel’s certificate shall be deemed to be an expression of opinion by a duly qualified veterinary surgeon and shall not constitute a warranty. (v) the Certificate will be read out by Goffs at the time of Sale. (vi) the fee for the re-examination shall be borne by the Purchaser. (vii) N o Lot shall be permitted to leave Goffs Premises between the re-examination by The Panel and the time of sale. (d) W ith a Pre-Sale Veterinary Certificate (subject to pre-sale examination by The Panel at the Vendor’s premises), to which the following conditions shall apply: (i) T he Lot shall be examined not earlier than 14 days prior to the Sale at the premises of the Lot’s Vendor or registered Trainer by a member of The Panel. For horses trained outside the United Kingdom or Ireland, the Lot shall be examined at a location as directed by Goffs. (ii) T he examination will be a full clinical examination to determine the Lot’s suitability for racing and includes:

• radiographs of the front feet, front and hind fetlocks, knees, hocks and stifles (iii) T he Panel’s certificate shall be

deemed to be an expression of opinion by a duly qualified veterinary surgeon and shall not constitute a warranty

(f) W ith a Breeding Certificate

(iv) F illies may be offered with a Breeding Certificate in addition to the Pre-Sale Veterinary Certificate (v) T he certificate(s) will be made available to prospective purchasers by Goffs prior to Sale (vi) F or any Horse-In-Training offered for sale with a Pre-Sale Veterinary Certificate, which is not present on the day of the Sale, if required by the Purchaser, a Lot shall be subject to re-examination by 5.00 pm on the second calendar day following the Sale, at the Vendor’s premises, by a veterinary surgeon appointed by the Purchaser, providing the Purchaser has notified Goffs by 12.00 pm on the day following the Sale that a re-examination is required. Failure to request a re- examination under this Condition will prevent the Purchaser seeking cancellation of the sale.
