the incredible support we’ve received from our donors and stakeholders. Our financial management is diligent. Every penny raised is carefully tracked to ensure it’s allocated where it’s needed most. While we still have a long way to go to complete the building, the ongoing support from the community fills us with hope and excitement for what we can achieve together. What role do volunteers play within the charity, and how can people get involved in supporting Lumiere’s e orts? Volunteers are truly the backbone of Lumiere Charity. Their contributions are invaluable, and we are proud to welcome volunteers from all walks of life. Recently, we partnered with a local alternative educational school that has provided 10 young adults to assist with renovating our building. This partnership is particularly exciting because it encourages younger generations to get involved in community work, fostering a sense of responsibility and compassion.
In addition to renovation support, we’ve had volunteers from the local community and sta from Tiber Street assist at events, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. We also o er a variety of volunteer roles, including marketing, social media, play area support, cleaning, and public relations. Additionally, we’re always on the lookout for volunteers with skills in play therapy, music, or art-based activities, as these are integral to the services we o er to the children. We are especially proud to have welcomed Siobhan, a dedicated volunteer with 18 years of experience as a social worker. She is now supporting Lumiere in Human Resources and is committed to enhancing our team’s well-being and growth.
