SCRAP ’ s own “ Doctor Laser ” (Tom Steele) will provide 6 hours of personalized instruction on how to perform basic laser cutting and engraving with a medium power CO2 laser system. Included: basic safety training, which materials are suitable, how to prepare graphic design files for lasers, running the laser interface software, and operating the actual laser system to cut and/or engrave items. Possible projects include everything from signage and stencils to decorative or functional items using materials like plywood, acrylic sheets, leather, and fabrics, etc.
