TEXARKANA MAGAZINE

T his past month, our family had the joy of celebrating the very special wedding of my dad and his beautiful new bride, Ginger. It was one of those nights you never want to end. We dressed up, gathered with friends and family, and celebrated well, with a live band, plenty of dancing, and even a surprise cannonball into the pool by my youngest son, George… in a full suit… to win a $20 bet with a new friend. Weddings have a way of bringing everyone together, and not just for the party. Marriage is a sacred union. It is not only the joining of two people but also the blending of families, the start of a new chapter, and, most importantly, a covenant before God. It is a commitment that is deeper than a promise—it’s a sacred vow of love, grace, and growth. This issue is full of inspiration for those planning their own big day or simply celebrating love. We had a great time working on the bridal gown feature. It showcases stunning dresses that can be purchased locally, modeled by the incredibly beautiful Kate Woodman. Every image from that photoshoot was captivating, and Kate’s beauty, inside and out, shines in every frame. You will also find a collection of real weddings that will inspire you when planning your celebration. I may have even considered renewing my vows to Fred after working on this issue. He quickly reminded me we have cars to buy and college to pay for in our future… so Destin, Florida, circa 2007 will remain our one and only. Be sure to scan the QR codes throughout to watch each couple’s wedding videos—you will feel like you were there. Also, don’t miss our Vendor Directory and featured advertisers. They are the local resources you need to help you plan your perfect day. Most of all, keep this issue close. Whether you are planning now or dreaming of the future, we hope it serves as a beautiful guide and a meaningful keepsake. Best wishes to all the newlyweds,
