Irish Data Centre Ecosystem Report

Philip Cruise Preconstruction Data Centre Lea SISK

“ Early on, nobody was building at scale in the traditional data centre hubs. ”

Building on past success is laying the foundation for future progress. “For many of us, the most successful strategy is to follow key clients into new markets as they expand. We have built the relationships for them to know they can trust us on each project they bring us into,” said Stephen Byrne , group business development manager for Mercury. “So while we will continue to see development in FLAP, we will also be seeing growth in secondary markets such as Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland and other Eastern European countries.” This success and continued growth is not without significant challenges. Supply chains are fraught with difficulty, talent is scarce and sustainability and carbon reduction at all stages is under increasing scrutiny. These pressures and challenges, much like the 2008 economic downturn, creates an opportunity for Irish companies to lead. However, this time they do so with experience and earned trust of customers, partners and colleagues across the industry. It’s a good time to be I.R.I.S.H .
