DCC will obtain planning permission to undertake the public realm improvements, will tender for the construction and will oversee the construction phase to be completed by December 2021. As part of this process, DCC will also integrate recommendations from SRA, arising from learnings from MATCH-UP, into these public realm improvements. This will involve participating in the new implementation stage SRA are now seeking to introduce for projects already approved under the SEROP Priority (6e) “Public Realm Improvements” to improve low carbon mobility and modal interchange as outlined under Action 1.
