Valent U.S.A. Sustainability Report (FY23)

SDG-5: Gender Equality

Valent is steadfast in its commitment to the development and advancement of women in our workplace and in the communities we serve. This aligns with Target 5.5 of SDG-5: “ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic and public life.” Research consistently shows that organizations with greater gender diversity achieve better performance. 1 At Valent, we work to promote and build a culture of diversity and inclusion where all employees can thrive and contribute to our spirit of innovation. Our DE&I Journey We promote a culture of DE&I among employees through our 5-point Action Plan for Change developed by the Valent Council on Diversity & Inclusion (VCDI):

1. Develop a diverse talent pipeline:

Valent Group Companies is committed to Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) to support underrepresented minority groups in agriculture and recruit strong diverse talent into the organization.

2. Inclusive Leadership:

3. Continuous Learning:

Annual mandatory training on unconscious bias and other DE&I topics of importance to the company.

4. Guest Speakers:
