Walsh Brand Standards Manual

VIDEO & PHOTOGRAPHY VIDEO & PHOTOGRAPHY A photograph should provide more than showcase a setting. It should tell a story, and capture a particular moment in time. Before you begin a shoot, you must understand the story you are telling. The narrative should relate to the product and audience and not be overly staged. Embrace the architecture and character of the project. Shoot for detail and frame the scene. PHOTOGRAPHY

Shooting for Style When shooting for a stylistic photo, look for great lighting and dramatic shadows. Walk the jobsite to find the best angles. Please shoot wide whenever possible to allow for more creative framing in the editing process. Never use photographic effects to enhance your shot. Leave editing to the design team in the commucations department.

Shooting for Size When shooting for size avoid locations on the site that contain visual noise, such projects supplies, garbage and unsafe conditions. Avoid locations that have distracting elements or elements that can’t temporarily be moved. Shoot wide and shoot to catch the size of the project.
