SAFETY KIOSK CONTEST In early April, the Crenshaw/LAX Safety Department received an email from one of our civil superintendents, Jared Shuey, describing the efforts of one of his foreman, James Pollit. He had taken the initiate to set up an area with signage inviting visitors to sign his crews THA. Upon learning of this fantastic idea, project management decided to issue a challenge to all crews on the job to create a “Safety Kiosk.” Crew were instructed to “get creative” with what was included on the kiosk and how it was to be used. With this instruction, the crews went to work and created kiosks that included daily and weekly schedules, safety reminders, photos of foreman and inspectors, work plans/drawings and of course, THAs to be reviewed and signed. The project management team will be voting this week on a winner of the grand prize. GOOD CATCH 2017
