ABOUT THIS EDITION OF THE HARD HAT NEWS This edition of Hard Hat News is dedicated to the connections that we make within our industry and throughout our communities. While we create actual connections to places, services and resources, we also are connected by values and service. The first half of the year has seenmuch progress and success at our jobsites, but also acts of philanthropy and support for others. Through these connections, we establish trustworthy relationships with customers and citizens that lead to opportunity and success. As always, please continue to share your news with the Communications Department; we look forward to sharing exciting information about our people and projects. ABOUT GUEST DESIGNER - TINA OLAGUNDOYE For the past seven years, I’ve immersed myself in the world of design, and without it, my world would be black and white. I have taken great pride and enjoyment fromworking in theWalshCanada office for the past three years. It is truly an amazing setting with hard-working, dedicated and talented individuals. In addition to graphics, I also assist in marketing communications, brand identity and proposal coordination. I love developing new design ideas and sharingmy knowledge with those aroundme. I’m thrilled with the opportunity to contribute to the Hard Hat News.

MAKING CONNECTIONS

We are problem solvers, creators and connectors. Our customers have a need to provide the best for their patrons and the public, and we provide the infrastructure to house or deliver those services. Connection is defined as a relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked or associated with something else. As the 11th largest contractor in the United States, we are in a position each and every day to connect millions of our fellow citizens to fresh water, reliable transportation and the best environments for living, learning, working and care. We have exciting projects across North America that will bring great benefits and enhance the livelihood of their surrounding communities; communities that we cherish and proudly engage. We value our commitment to community and are always in pursuit of opportunities to give back. Thank you to the numerous volunteers who have taken time to help their neighbors, especially those who took part in Rebuilding Day. From Boston to Seattle, your dedication to giving back to enhance the future of others is truly appreciated. These efforts take only a few hours, but those that you have

helped will remember your actions for years. It’s inspiring to see all the activities and organizations that everyone has contributed to outside of the workplace. Within the workplace, we are connected by our common goals to keep each other safe and deliver a high-quality product. This connection was on full display during Safety Week. Everyone’s enthusiasm and engagement throughout the week reaffirmed that our actively caring culture was strong. We are confident that the safety message and passion will continue daily across every job site – We are safer and stronger together! As we move into the summer, we welcome an exciting and busy construction season, and remind everyone to look out for your fellow worker, work safe and return home unharmed. We must continue to live and work in accordance with our Vision, Mission and Values, and provide the best in safety, quality and ethics for our customers, community and each other.
