<TM13> Pilot Station. During a Match, the Pilot and Co-Pilot must remain in the Pilot station as shown in Figure 40. • Pilot Station Depth: approximately 3’. <TM14> Visual Observer Station. During a Match, the Visual Observer must remain in the Visual Observer station as shown in Figure 40. • Visual Observer Station Depth: approximately 3’. <TM15> Teams must clearly identify their Team color during a Match. Teams must change the light on the top of the Drone to red or blue to represent their Team color for the Match. If the Drone does not have a light, Teams must use an alternative method—such as colored tape—to clearly indicate their Team color. <TM16> Qualification Matches will occur according to the official Match schedule. A Qualification Match Schedule will be available on the day of competition. This schedule will include Alliance Partners, Match times, assigned Team/Drone colors, and the designated field for each Match. The Match schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the Event Partner. a. A Qualification Match can only start before its scheduled time if all Flight Team Members, Teams, Drones, and assigned volunteers are at the Field and ready to complete. b . If there are multiple divisions, then divisions must be assigned in sequential order by Team number. i. Note: Multi-division events must be pre-approved by the RECF RSM prior to the event. <TM17> Be at your Match on time. If no member of a Team is present in the Pilot Station at the start of a Match, that Team will be considered a “no show” and will receive zero (0) points. The other Team in the Alliance may still compete and earn points for the Match. <TM18> Each Team will be scheduled for at least 4 Qualification Matches. a. When in a Tournament, the Tournament must have a minimum of 4 (four) qualifying Matches per Team at local qualifying events and a minimum of 8 (eight) qualifying Matches for a championship Event.
i. We recommend 6 - 8 Matches for local qualifying Tournaments. ii. We recommend 8 - 10 Matches for a championship event.
<TM19> Teams are ranked by their average qualification Match scores. When in a Tournament, every Team will be ranked based on the same number of qualification Matches. If the Teamwork Mission includes six or more qualifying Matches, each Team’s lowest Match score will be excluded from their ranking calculation.
