Autonomous Flight Mission General Rules <AM9>Autonomous means “no humans.”
During an Autonomous Flight Skills Match, Drones must function solely based on coding instructions. Team members are allowed to start these instructions using the coding device, but they may not interact with the Drone, controllers, or coding device in any other way, except as specifically allowed in <AM12>, to end the program early, or to complete an emergency stop. <AM10> Drone starting position. Prior to the start of each Match, place the Drone so that it is contacting the first foot of the Programming Mat as shown in Figure 46.
Drone propellers may be spinning before the Match begins, however, the Drone must remain on the ground until the Match begins.
