Hardly anyone can resist the temptation of fresh corn. One of the great pleasures of summer is stopping to pick up some freshly harvested corn on the cob at the nearest public market or directly from a local producer. It’s such a great way to add some variety to your summer menu! Here are a few ways to cook corn on the barbecue. First, keep in mind that one small corn on the cob contains about 100 calories, and that’s before you coat it with lavish amounts of butter. Each ear also contains about 20 grams of carbohydrates. So remember to temper your enthusiasm when faced with a plateful of golden corn. Corn can also be served as an accompaniment. You could cook some on the barbecue at the same time as a piece of sh or meat and serve everything with a
refreshing salad for a balanced and delicious meal. With or without the husks When cooking corn on the grill, it’s best not to remove the husks. Soak the corn in water for ten minutes, drain, then cook on the grill at medium-high heat for about ten minutes. Remove all the husks with gloves and cook for another 10 minutes.
