To fully fund the forecasted 2020 NIGA Budget, NIGA would need approximately $2.0 to $2.5 million for the remainder of the 10 months. Clearly, there will need to be a budget re-adjustment for 2020. However, NIGA’s ability to cut non-essential costs and continue essential operations for 2020, assumes NO TRADESHOW REFUNDS for cancellations. Alternative Tradeshow Dates In an abundance of caution, NIGA’s Tradeshow provider, Clarion, is starting to research alternative Tradeshow Dates. The preference would be to keep it at San Diego to work with the San Diego Convention Center and area Hotels. So far Clarion has found the following dates and Venues that are available to host NIGA’s 2020 Tradeshow in the event of a postponement or cancellation: New Orleans Convention Center:

May 12-15 August 3-7 August 5-13

San Diego Convention Center:

August 30=Sept 4 th September 6-10 (Labor Day is Sept 7) December 13-17

Clarion is still exploring Venues in Las Vegas as well and should have an update on Monday, March 16 th on availability in Las Vegas. Conclusion NIGA staff is handling an extremely high number of customer service requirements as Tradeshow attendees inform us of their plans. The San Diego Convention Center has taken precautionary measures by increasing the number of Nurses on duty during shows and additional hand washing/sanitizer machines throughout the Convention Center, along with extensive cleaning at the end of each day. The Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director along with our Accounting Department are working on detailed plans to curtail spending for the remainder of the year in order to ensure that we can meet our basic operating costs (payroll, administrative functions, and overhead). NIGA also needs to ensure that we collect ALL of NIGA’s projected Tribal Membership Revenues of $1.6 million. Currently, NIGA has collected $1.0 million in Tribal Membership. Most of the information contained in this memorandum is as of March 12 th , 2020. Clearly, events and revenues are changing day by day. NIGA is aware of over two dozen Tribal Nations that have instituted Travel Bans for their Employees. Most of those impacted by the Tribe’s travel ban have requested a
