In the next example, the linear function f ( x ) = 0.5 x + 10 is given to describe the total charge for a pizza as a function of the number of toppings x , when the pizzeria charges $10 for a large pizza plus $0.50 per topping. Prof. Burger demonstrates how changing the pricing of the pizza effects the function for the total charge and the graph of the function.
