Nobody was having more fun with a flathead than Will Davenport from Chelsea, AL, in his ’31 Ford roadster with a 239ci version, a T-5 manu- al, juice brakes on a stock front suspension, and a red vinyl interior.
The Grounds is a great place for a car show, and they dug on Joe & Sue Reed’s ’33 Ford coupe from Castlewood, VA, that’s painted Colonial Cream, has Chevy 350 power, 17/20-inch Ridler wheels, and a bucket seat interior for its “Pick.”
Lee Laurent from Prairieville, LA, built his “ISCA Pick” winning ’37 Chevy coupe with Blueprint 383 power, a T-56 six-speed tranny, 17/18-inch US mags, Axalta Lunar Blue paint, and a Mustang II IFS.
