T he 40th NSRA Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals held June 27-29 proved to be anoth- er great three-day gathering of kindred spirits that love cruising the Pueblo, Colorado, landscapes. Early arrivals enjoyed the Thursday evening Kick-off Party sponsored by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce right on the Colorado State Fairgrounds while oth- ers enjoyed a slate of Garage Tours hosted by the Outlaws Car Club. When Friday dawned hun- dreds of participants who had already registered, with help from Lynn Adams, Judy Williams, Valerie Sump, Sandy Kerr, Lollie Krogmeier and the Mid-Life Crisis Car Club, rolled through the front gates of the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo. The Colorado Springs Rod and Custom Host Club welcomed participants as they entered the fairgrounds from all over the western states and Fred Williams, NSRA Northwest Division Director, organized a Street Rod Parade. Music flowed throughout the weekend with “Little Ricky and the Ripcords” cranking it out on Friday followed by the “Sandy Wells Band” on Saturday.
