Where We Are
NC Counts’ organizational operations are managed by a dedicated and proficient operations team that ensures the smooth running of day-to-day functions. Included in our organizational infrastructure is in-house human resources that support staff needs and foster a positive work environment. The operations team is constantly developing and refining systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. They manage everything from the administrative process of regranting and logistical support to annual audits, ensuring that all programs can function seamlessly. Working behind the scenes, this team ensures that the Coalition’s mission-driven initiatives run smoothly, allowing program teams to focus on advancing a healthy, just, and equitable North Carolina. Additionally, NC Counts has a diverse Board that is supportive of the organization and is learning to be more engaged. With NC Counts’ rapid growth, our organization has been innovating and adapting quickly. This dynamic expansion has highlighted the need for more robust systems, formal policies to support the growing team, and clear staff roles. Addressing these areas will help streamline our organizational structure, enhance efficiency, and provide essential support for our Executive Director.

Leverage technology to enhance organizational efficiency while enhancing data protection and privacy Streamline operational processes to reduce inefficiencies and allow staff to focus on their core job functions Assess and improve our organizational staffing structure for sustainability, growth and impact Foster an internal culture of continuous improvement through feedback and review Improve the skills, engagement, and effectiveness of the Board of Directors through targeted training, strategic recruitment, and regular evaluations.
