VALUE-ADDED LOGISTICS SERVICES – sponsored by Menzies LLP In this new category the judges will be looking at the way the modern freight forwarder works alongside its customer to manage the supply chain by offering value-added services that complete the logistics jigsaw and enhance the customer experience, leaving the nitty-gritty of logistics in safe hands. Individuals Once again, the popular APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR (sponsor to be confirmed) and YOUNG FREIGHT FORWARDER OF THE YEAR (sponsored by Virgin Atlantic Cargo) categories are open to individuals employed by BIFA Member companies. A s any sportsperson knows, success doesn’t happen overnight and whether the ultimate result is what you had hoped for or not, the hard work and preparation will always pay dividends in the long-term. If you don’t put yourself out there and have a go, you don’t stand a chance – hold your head up proudly and do your best. With a great foundation and a bit of luck, you may come out on top. The same is true for Members considering entering the 2025 awards competition – if you don’t tell us all about the great work that you have completed over the past year then we have nothing to judge. Take a step back, think about what you have achieved and prepare to bask in the glory at the awards ceremony. What’s your story? Entries are invited to: AIR FREIGHT FORWARDER OF THE YEAR – sponsored by IAG Cargo In this category the judges are looking for your case studies involving the movement of goods by air or air/sea services and the challenges that you have encountered to get the shipment to destination. CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE SERVICES – sponsored by CNS This brand-new category recognises that Customs compliance has burgeoned in complexity over recent years and freight forwarders have been at the forefront of innovation to simplify the processes and ensure a smooth flow of freight through the border.
