iFoodDS iFoodDS is a vocal advocate in Washington D.C. for the advancement of continuous food safety and quality improvements on the farm, in processing facilities and throughout the supply chain. Its recent efforts include meetings between its founder, Diane Wetherington, and top agricultural policy leaders on Capitol Hill, including U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-PA), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Agriculture, and Rep. Austin Scott (R-GA), the panel’s second-ranking minority member. The discussions focused on the intersection of food production and technology, and how it aligns with some of the priorities being undertaken currently on Capitol Hill, as well as the role food security plays in national security matters. iFoodDS is also backing the efforts of U.S. Rep. Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) to include legislative language in this year’s Food and Drug Administration appropriations bill that would further encourage coordination and communication among growers, food safety organizations, and the federal government with respect to food traceability. Also notable is iFoodDS’ support for President Joe Biden’s Executive Order 14017 on America’s supply chains. iFoodDS submitted comments to the USDA and the Federal Registrar to advocate for strengthening the country’s food supply chain, and for the companies that grow, harvest, manufacture, transport and sell the nation’s food. Read more about its legislative efforts on its blog: https://www.ifoodds. com/knowledge-center/blog/. Insero Insero Ag Engineering has announced new integrations for its ground and aviation products. AgOtter, its ground controller offering, has now partnered with Conservis, a web-based farm management system helping create a seamless workflow from field to office. Conservis users can now create work orders that automatically move to an AgOtter unit, populating the spray controller to the appropriate spray rate for that application. With job completion, the applied data returns to Conservis for inventory and compliance reporting purposes within the system. This collaboration ensures the application was done correctly with minimal operator input. AgPilotX, the first and only app-based wireless guidance system for aerial applicators, has integrated with AgSync to automatically roll data from work order to the pilot and straight to the invoice once the job is complete. This limits the human workload and lets the pilot focus on flying. Learn more at www.inserosolution.com.
