Memberships Membership includes access to Neighbourhood and Youth Centre drop-ins, and discounted prices on some programs and events. Purchase a membership at any New Westminster Parks and Recreation facility. Staff will create a membership profile for you, take your picture, and print a membership card. Basketball Drop-in (13 - 18 years) Looking for a place to play basketball with your buddies? Drop in to the Queensborough Community Centre for some friendly competition. GoCard required for entrance. Friday Drop-in (11 - 13 years) Friday night drop-in is the place to be! Hang out with friends, play sports in the gym, help with cooking, challenge the youth staff to a game, or create your own fun!

Youth must complete a quick orientation before working out independently in the Youth Centre fitness centre. Up to four youth are allowed per one hour time block. Drop-ins are welcome but space is not guaranteed. Register for YC Fitness Centre at newwestcity.ca/youthdropin Badminton Drop-in (13 - 18 years) Bring your raquet and birdie it’s time for badminton! New West Youth staff will be on site to arrange games and officiate. GoCard required for entrance.

Youth DJ Program (13 - 18 years) The Royal City Sound Youth DJ program teaches youth how to DJ and provides opportunities to perform at local events. No experience is necessary and we’ll work with you to help find your sound! This program requires a consistent commitment in order to build on skills learned the previous week. Music Scene Jam Session (13 - 18 years) Bring your own instrument and come play some awesome tunes with friends. All skill levels welcome. We have a variety of instruments if you want to try something new! Specialty Samplers (11 - 13 years) Youth Services is bringing fun specialty program samplers to Drop In! Not sure if you like Magic Cards? Ever wanted to try DJing? These samplers are for you. Specialty programs will rotate every four weeks. Come to all four or just one. SPECIALTY SAMPLERS Sept. 13 - Oct. 4

Leaders in Training (LIT) (11- 18 years) Come together, meet new people, plan events, and build strong teamwork skills in a fun and exciting environment. Youth gain leadership experience through activities, speakers, and hands-on experience. See drop-in schedule for age groups. Financial Assistance is Available! We want to enable as many people in our community to participate in our programs as possible. We do this by removing barriers to participation in our programs and facilities, offering financial assistance for those in need, and consistently providing low-cost activities. Youth Dance (11 - 13 years) These dances are planned for each middle school and are always a good time. They feature laser lights, Live DJs, prizes, and a concession! Youth are asked to provide ID in order to gain entrance to the dance with a New Westminster Parks & Recreation Active Pass, New West Youth Membership Pass, or GoCard.
