Nursery Round - up Nursery School News From Miss Lizzie Hayes - Head of Nursery School

The Nursery School children are thoroughly enjoying their dance lessons with Miss Sophie, developing their coordination through imaginary movement.

In P.E they have been working on throwing and catching skills using scarves.

Onsite Forest School activities have focused on exploring weight using natural resources, This topic further developed indoors using scales to weigh conkers and fir - cones that the children had found on previous expeditions around the College grounds. This week ’ s cookery session continued the apple theme with the children making apple puffs allowing them to practise their cutting skills with specialist child safe knives. They chopped and diced their apple, placed this on a puff pastry base that they had cut out, after decorating with some sugar and raisins. These scrummy cooked creations were gobbled up with enthusiasm at snack time!
