Christmas Sparkle
Christmas Sparkle was founded in 2015 with the aim of giving a Christmas present to every child and young person aged 0 - 18 years living in difficult circumstances in the SWT/Taunton and Wellington community. Last year, thanks to the generosity of local people, we were able to provide gifts for over 1,484 children and young people. We are aware that there is going to be even greater need this year. We work with local charities and agencies e.g. The Foodbank, Women ’ s Refuge, PFSAs. We were proud winners of the 2019 Mayor ’ s Citizenship award. We work in partnership with My Day who kindly collect gifts from donation points and deliver to agencies. We give only brand - new age appropriate gifts which are donated by local businesses, schools and members of the public. Wrapping events are held in Santa ’ s workshop, aka our base, throughout November and December, generously provided by Summerfield Developments. Members of the public are invited to these events and schools and local groups help for an hour or two which makes it a real community event. Cheesy Christmas music and festive refreshments help to make the day fun for everyone! All financial donations go straight back into the project. They are used for wrapping paper, gift tags and gifts for shortage age groups; typically 8 - 18 year old boys and babies. Please help us to make Christmas special for hundreds of children living in difficult circumstances in our community, suggestions of donations can be found here. We need your help to support families in need this Christmas by donating gifts. We just ask that all gifts are new and are not wrapped. There will be collection points in Senior Reception, Birtchall Hall and Pre - Prep Foyer.

We now have the total raised for Macmillan from donations, the coffee events and the cake sales. A whopping £928.70. A few donations keep trickling in so we might make over £1000! A huge thank you to all for all the donations and support that has been given! Macmillian
