The Lakes South Morang College - Issue 13

TERM 4 WORKBOOK EXPECTATIONS – YEARS 3-6

TERM 4 CURRICULUM OVERVIEWS

To support your child ’ s learning and organisation at school, we have developed clear expectations for how student workbooks should look and be used in the classroom. With these expectations, we are hoping for greater consistency for students to build better work habits and ensure students take greater pride in their work.

These Workbook Principles/expectations include:

Prep

Ruling margins in red and with a ruler

Dating work

If students make a mistake, cross it out in the same colour and not scribble over the mistake

Rule off after the completion of a task

One

Students will keep books and equipment in a condition that they are truly proud of. Students will not draw on the front or back covers

Teachers across Years 3 - 6 have spoken to students about this expectation and as a school, we would appreciate parents/carers also being aware of these expectations. Failure to abide by the above expectations will result in students starting their work again. We are hoping this trial in Term 4, will allow us to develop this across P - 6 in 2026. Any issues, please do not hesitate to speak with me at school.

Two

Have a wonderful start to Term 4.
