2026 NextGen Open Enrollment Decision Guide

Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) What is a Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA)?

A Lifestyle Spending Account is an employer-sponsored benefit that supports employees’ overall health and wellness. Below is a summary of the LSA eligible expenses. Participating in the LSA will provide you with an opportunity to spend your wellness dollars in a way that is most valuable to you. During 2026, NextGen Healthcare will contribute up to $100 quarterly to your LSA. To earn your quarterly employer LSA contribution, it will be necessary for you to complete wellness related activities designated by NextGen Healthcare. Visit the Financial Campus on WellU each quarter for information about the activities required to earn the employer LSA contributions.

What does LSA cover? An LSA’s eligible expense list is extensive, with a wide variety of options that support your wellness. There are four categories of eligible expenses related to wellbeing that can be reimbursed out of your LSA: physical, emotional/mental, financial, and social. For a full listing of LSA eligible expenses, please visit the Financial Campus on WellU.

What does LSA not cover? Based on IRS regulations, an LSA cannot be used to cover expenses related to items, services, and/or procedures that can also be covered under medical insurance.

How do I sign up for a Lifestyle Spending Account? No action is required on your part. NextGen Healthcare will automatically enroll you in the LSA. You will receive a welcome email from WEX with a link to view your enrollment details and manage your account.
