The Army offers cadets a chance to commission as second lieutenants on active duty or in the Reserves or National Guard, an option that allows students to start civilian careers immediately upon graduation while still serving their country part-time. The Air Force’s “Soaring Eagles” is the third largest Air Force ROTC program and ranked as the No. 1 detachment regionally and best in the nation five years running. Detachment 157 produces more pilots than the other 145 Air Force ROTC detachments. Air Force cadets learn leadership and military organization in the first two years with field training starting between the second and third years, and 10 percent of cadets earn the honor of distinguished graduate. Cadets then transfer into leadership positions within the wing and commission into active duty in the Air or Space Force upon graduation. The Naval ROTC unit, one of the largest and most diverse in the nation, provides a dynamic and supportive environment for future leaders. It offers the chance to commission as ensigns in the Navy or second lieutenants in the Marine Corps in areas that include aviation, submarine warfare, surface warfare, and special operations. The battalion, composed of over 150 future Navy and Marine Corps Officers, boasts an impressive 85 percent rate of first-choice service assignments for its graduating midshipmen, demonstrating the program’s commitment to helping students achieve their career goals.

Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach Campus boasts three of the largest Army, Navy and Air Force ROTC programs in the country.
