DEGREES & PROGRAMS /// Engineering continued COMPUTER ENGINEERING FL AZ Students design and build from day one. Working both individually and in teams, you have the opportunity not only to learn about embedded computer systems, but also to develop those systems for projects ranging from autonomous aircraft to energy-

efficient automobiles. The two-semester senior capstone design sequence follows the development cycle of a real engineering assignment. Working in multidisciplinary teams of computer, electrical and software engineers, you design, build and test a system to ensure that it meets customer requirements. Graduates of this program often find themselves part of research and development that spans many industries. Noteworthy: According to a recent report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for computer hardware engineers is $128,170. COMPUTER SCIENCE FL Computer Science students benefit from the high-tech atmosphere featuring state-of-the-art computer facilities, team software development and real-time hardware laboratories, and a wide range of cutting-edge tools and resources. Typically ranked in many top career or opportunity lists, the availability of jobs in Computer Science continues to grow as society’s dependence on computers and computer systems continues to increase. The bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Embry-Riddle allows students to study a standard computer science track or specialize with an area of concentration in Cyber Security Engineering and prepares students to emerge with a solid foundation in computer science basics, advanced computer science topics, and software engineering practices. Noteworthy: According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Computer and Information Technology occupations have a median annual salary of $97,430, and a projected increase of 15% by 2029. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FL AZ With electronic devices enabling everything from digital computers to satellite navigation, our graduates are in demand in many fields. You learn industrial- grade design processes with the latest computer-based tools early on, with plenty of opportunities to work with and design real-world systems — such as the telemetry system of an autonomous aircraft or the power switching for a hybrid automobile. The program culminates in a two-semester capstone design sequence in which you are part of a team of student electrical, computer and software engineers who specify, design, build and demonstrate a working system — often for a real- world customer. Noteworthy: The median annual salary for electrical engineers is $101,780, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
