Neighbour of Note: Val Morgan
Although creativity and art have been a constant in her life, Val Morgan didn’t start painting until 2013. Working in acrylic, her style varies from realism to abstract expressionism. Subject matter is often from her garden or other flowers she finds in her travels to Italy, England and France. Other inspiration comes from natural settings. Val’s other passions are gardening, cooking, dancing and fitness. A Wortley Village resident for fifteen years, Val says “I have loved every minute of it. It is a beautiful community that feels like a small town inside a big city”. Val is participating in the Brush & Palette Show at Riverside United Church, April 10 to 12, and you can see more of her work at www.valmorganstudio.com
