Jose Reyes The Power of One is a big factor when it comes to recruiting new associates, and hearing about Averitt from others is why he chose us and has stayed for 8 years. He loves that he is challenged to learn new skills on the dock and is also working to become a better person for his family. He is married to his wife Erma, and they have 3 children, Milton, Emily and Christal. Outside of work he enjoys being a referee for his community soccer organization. His goal is to be able to support his 3 kids thru college and eventually retire.
Jerrell Henderson Averitt supports a balanced work and home life and we want our associates to achieve their goals, he works hard to build and grow his detailing and power washing business when he isn’t on the dock. His leader says, “Jerrell is a fantastic team member! He’s good natured and a hard worker which makes him an ideal fit for Averitt.” He is Married to Jessica, and they have a 3yr old son Jayce. He loves spending time with family, working on cars, football and going to the range. He strives to be successful and be a good husband and father.
Kevin Carmon As a 21-year Averitt associate and city driver, he embraces the Averitt culture and image. He was selected because he is humble, has a great attitude and is a team player. He is married to his wife Penny, he has a son Damien- 28 as well as two stepdaughters, Krystalin- 36 and Megan- 35. His goal is to retire in approximately 3 years and he looks forward to traveling and spending more time with family.

Troy Simpson “We hire to retire” and that’s exactly what he is doing. During his 14 years behind the wheel with Averitt he has been reliable and friendly with everyone he meets. He loves the Averitt culture and our image which is why he chose to join our team. Prior to Averitt he worked in retail management, he is married to his wife Cheryl and he has 2 kids and 11 grandkids. He enjoys fishing and traveling and is looking forward to doing more of it during his retirement. Thank you for your years of service Troy and we wish you the best of luck!
Cindy Williams As a CDL Qualified Dock associate, she is an important team member on the dock as well as when she runs shuttle at night. Her leader says, “Her attitude sets the tone with her work ethic and her performance is valued. We are glad to have her on the Averitt team.” She has a daughter, Destiny-26 and her hobbies are cars, riding 4-wheelers and Side by Sides. Although she’s only been with us for 5 months, her desire to grow within the company and be cross-trained will undoubtedly set her up for long term success.
