As spring blossoms across our community, so do the events that bring us together. April is a month of growth, connection, and celebration, and across Edison Township Public Schools, that energy is everywhere. Together We Grow A Message from Dr. Aldarelli, Superintendent of Schools
Spring Calendar Update
With no emergency or snow days used so far this year, we’re pleased to share that the calendar has been updated to include the following additional days off for students and staff: Monday, April 21, 2025 & Friday, May , 23. 2025
In this months’s edition of the Insider , we turn our school highlights to the heart of where learning begins: our preschools and elementary schools, from Benjamin Franklin to John Marshall. We celebrate the vibrant energy, curiosity, and imagination of our youngest learners. These are the years when the spark is ignited and where the garden is planted for lifelong learning to grow . Next month, we celebrate the remainder of our amazing elementary schools. Enhanced Community Engagement April brings several key events that exemplify the spirit of community that defines us. On April 8, we host Parent University , an event for families to connect and grow together, rescheduled from February. The following evening, April 9 , our District Community Showcase will highlight the incredible talents, programs, and partnerships across our schools. SAGES I look forward to the next PULSE meeting, our parent advisory group, on April 23, and SAGES , our student advisory group, on April 30 . Each of these helps guide meaningful conversations and ensures that district decisions reflect the voices of our parents and students. As we approach our spring break , April 14 through April 21 , I want to thank you for your continued partnership. To all who are observing Easter or Passover, or who celebrated Eid al-Fitr on March 31, I wish you peace, reflection, and time well spent with those who matter most. Looking Ahead & Staying Connected Looking ahead to May 1 , we will officially kick off the Edison Township Education Foundation with a Community Meeting dedicated to supporting future innovation and vision in our schools. As our commitment to connection extends beyond the classroom, we will soon launch the Edison Alumni Connect Portal, a new initiative designed to strengthen relationships with our graduates and bring their stories back into the life of our district. In addition, Legacy Cards will be available beginning in May for senior citizens in our community, offering special access to district events and opportunities to stay connected with our schools. I hope you enjoy this month’s edition of The Insider eMagazine, which is designed with you in mind to highlight the events and initiatives I’ve mentioned, offer a closer look at what’s happening across our schools, and continue to strengthen how we stay connected as a district.
