No Overnight Parking – There is no overnight parking allowed on municipal roads between 2 am and 7 am from Labour Day to Victoria Day. This is particularly important as we head into the winter season to allow for snow clearing. Bring in Nets & Check Mailboxes – Don't forget to bring your basketball and hockey nets in from the edge of the road and out of the way of snowplows. If you are on a rural road, check that your mailbox is securely attached and solidly in the ground. Komoka Park’s basketball court is getting a major refresh in 2025 thanks in part to a generous donation of $15,000 from Middlesex Paving & Maintenance and LiUNA Local 1059. More details about the upgrades to the basketball court will be shared in the spring. Provincial Funding for Watermain Upgrade Earlier this fall, the Province of Ontario announced a $492,715 investment in Middlesex Centre’s water infrastructure from the Ontario Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund. This funding will cover 73% of the cost of twinning the Glendon Drive Watermain, improving the availability and reliability of municipal water services in Kilworth. Work will include adding 520 metres of watermain between Tunks Lane in Komoka and Crestview Drive in Kilworth, new main line valves and new fire hydrants. As part of that face-lift, Middlesex Centre engaged the community in designing a barn quilt for the side of the building. The new quilt was installed in September. Seen in rural areas across Canada, barn quilts tell a story about the people, heritage and landscape of a community through their design. The Heritage Park quilt captures the spirit of Ilderton, celebrating its natural beauty, cultural richness and enduring community bonds.
