APPENDIX 2: COVID-19 PERSONNEL POLICY
1. Those employees who are either vulnerable or have a member of their household in the vulnerable category can request paid leave of absence. A doctor’s note is required.
2. Sick days will be extended to cover both prolonged COVID-19 illness and the need to quarantine. 3. W orking remotely is an option for those employees (6th-12th) who can do their work from home. 4. E mployees are required to notify the school if they either contact or are directly exposed to a case of COVID-19.
5. A ny employee who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be required to quarantine for 10 calendar days from the date the positive test was taken, be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days of the quarantine and provide clearance in writing from their physician before returning to school. 6. A ny employee who has been directly exposed to someone who has COVID-19 will be asked to quarantine for 3 calendar days and be symptom free before returning to school. 7. A ny employee who has a family member who has COVID-19 and cannot live separately will be asked to quarantine for 10 calendar days and be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days of the quarantine before returning to school. 8. A ny employee who has a family member who has COVID-19 and can make arrangements to live separately will be asked to quarantine for 3 calendar days and be symptom free before returning to school. 9. A ny employee who experiences any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (listed at the bottom of this document) should self-isolate and be tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible. If the test is negative they can return to work when free of all symptoms for 3 days. 10. A ny employee living with someone who experiences any symptoms of COVID-19, should self-isolate for 3 days OR until that person receives results of a test determining whether or not they are positive. 11. E mployees can be required to submit a doctor’s note as proof of illness and proof of recovery. 12. S hould an employee or member of an employee’s household travel internationally, the employee will be asked to self-quarantine for 10 days. 13. L eave will be granted to an employee who is caring for his/her child whose school or place of case is closed to COVID-19 related reasons.
APPENDIX 3: COVID-19 STUDENT ATTENDANCE POLICY
1. Any student who presents with COVID-19 symptoms will be sent to Student Services immediately and will be required to go home. 2. A ny student or family member who tests positive for COVID-19 is required to notify the school. 3. A ny student who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be required to quarantine for 10 calendar days from the date the positive test was taken, be symptom free for the final 3 calendar days of the quarantine and provide clearance in writing from their physician before returning to school. 4. APPENDIX 4: RESPONSE TO CONFIRMED CASE OF COVID-19
1. Contact local health officials and follow the guidance provided. 2. T he school will identify any individuals who had regular or close contact with the affected participant. 3. D iscourage students and staff from social gatherings. 4. C ommunicate to faculty and parents the presence of a confirmed case of COVID-19. 5. C lean and disinfect thoroughly: a. Close off area used by the individual with COVID-19 b. Open doors and windows of area
c. Wait for 24 hrs to clean an area (if needed) d. Clean all surfaces with electrostatic sprayers 6. If someone tests positive, whether teacher, staff, or student, they will not be allowed to return to campus until they complete all protocols.
